Soloist/ Intermediate/ Beginner Levels:

 

First Round

• Contestants will present their CD with one song to the DJ.
• When the song begins, the contestant will begin dancing while the judges watch and critique their techniques.
• Judges will select top dancers to proceed on the second round.

Second Round

• Contestants will choose from a variety of unknown music options and pick one CD with one song. This song will be given to the DJ to be played.
• When the song begins, the contestant will begin dancing while the judges watch and critique their techniques.
• Judges will select top 3 finalists to proceed on the finals round.

Third & Final Round

• Judges will choose from a variety of unknown music options and pick one CD with one song. This song will be given to the DJ to be played.
• All 3 finalists will be instructed to go on stage and stand on the right, left, and center stage.
• When the music begins, all 3 finalists will dance at the same time while the judges watch and critique their techniques.
• Judges will announce the winners shortly after the competition.

 

Troupes Levels:

 

First Round

• Contestants will present their CD with one song to the DJ.
• When the song begins, the contestants will begin dancing while the judges watch and critique their techniques.
• Judges will select top troupe to proceed on the second round.

Second & Final Round

• Contestants will present a different CD with one song to the DJ.
• When the song begins, the contestants will begin dancing while the judges watch and critique their techniques.
• Judges will announce the winners shortly after the competition.

** Music must be on a CD. Each CD must be labeled with contestant’s (or troupe’s) name and level. Please bring a back-up copy as well. Each CD may only have one song.

*** The competition organizers will provide music for the second and third rounds. Each CD will have one song and will be unlabeled in a random order. Not even the competition organizers will know which songs are selected for any of the dancers.
